Lyons Insurance was established July 1st, 1960, by Keith M. Lyons. We are an Independent Stock Insurance Agency selling all forms of insurance. Our accounts number over 3,000 divided between Personal and Commercial Accounts.
In 1983, Stephen K. Lyons joined the agency and in 1985, Kyle M. Lyons and in 1990, David M. Lyons joined the agency, both as producers and principals. Also, in 1990, the Pennision agency of Westlake was acquired. In 1998, The Cooley Agency was acquired. In 2003, the agency became a member of the Northlake Insurance Group, LTD. In 2008, Stephen Lyons and Sharrie Boullion purchased 100% of the ownership of the agency from its original founders, Keith M. Lyons, and Family. Northlake is a “Cluster” or “Aggregator” of Independently owned agencies with sixteen (16) offices across south Louisiana. Collectively the Group writes more than $200 million in premium.
